Meet Our DJ's

Joey "2 Hip 2 Hop" - is the owner of Sound Core Music & Video, which has been is business for over 20 years. In that time he has had many jobs and oppurtunities as a DJ, Producer, Director, Sound Technician, and musician/director of the Southern Illinois Blues Allstars. Joe has worked with great names and artists such as the Dixie Chicks, John Entwistle, Buddy Guy, Tracy Lawrence, Jerry Reed, and Loretta Switt ("Hot Lips")! You name it and Joe has done it. He will do everything it takes to accomodate and needs or requests to make your day more special. Joe is "The Man".

Isaac "DJ Funktion"- has been DJing for two years now and specializes in club type turntable mixing of Electronica, but can also rock the house with the latest Rap/R+B, Rock, and Pop tracks. He sees himself as an ambassador of music and proves it with his mad mixing skills. His motto is: "Let the music do the talking..." If you don't want to dance, then Isaac isn't the DJ for you.

Darby "Starchild"- Darby knows what funny is, and uses that to his most entertaining advantage. He is familiar with music in just about every genre, and will play music that will keep you dancing! He is a weekly radio host and one of the single most entertaining people alive - get him to DJ your next event!

"Play it again" Sam Mckinnies - Sam is one of our DJ's and also works in our music store and video studio. He is Pro-Tools certified and available to answer your digital recording questions. Sam has been working at Sound Core since 2008.

D.J. MARC B. - has been DJ'ing for over 15 years at numerous nightclubs and mobile dj services. He is very knowledgeable in all genres of music.
